Amy Christenson

Student Services Officer - BNRT and Nursing Foundations
My name is Amy Christenson and I advise for students in the Bachelor of Nursing Regular Track and Foundation Programs, also known as BNRT. I have a long history with the University of Calgary, as I am a University of Calgary graduate, and I worked as an advisor there for four years, before moving to Qatar in 2011. Speaking with the students here at UCQ is the best part of my day and my door is always open if you have questions about courses, schedules, exams, rules, or anything else that comes to mind – if you don’t know who to ask, come ask me! I am here provide support, help you understand the expectations the University has for you, and connect you to other Departments to enhance your success. I look forward to meeting you all and hope you will enjoy being a part of the UCQ community!
Maha Kassab

Student Service Administrative Support
Coordinate and administer the Universal Student Ratings of Instruction Instrument (USRI ) paper work for each semester. Distribute attendance reports to sponsors end of each month and Student Transcripts end of each term. Update the PeopleSoft student system as directed by Student Services advisors. Responsible for the Students UCQ ID cards. Assist admission inter student data at PS.
Paul Penton

Student Services Officer - PDBN
I am the Student Services Officer responsible for the PDBN program. I was working as a student advisor for the University of Calgary back in Canada and then moved to Doha three years ago to be an advisor here. Please come to me you have any questions regarding your courses, schedule, or exams. I always keep my door open so feel free to come in with any questions, or even just to say hello!
Jennie Seder

Student Services Officer - Recruitment
I work with recruitment and admissions. My role is to guide prospective students through the admissions process. I meet with students and their families to discuss opportunities available at UCQ, admissions requirements and transfer credits. I organize events for prospective students including open house where students have a chance to explore our campus and discover opportunities in nursing. Once a student has applied I evaluate their application and send admissions decisions.
Rasha Shams

Recruitment and Student Life Officer
I am working in the student services as Recruitment and Student Life Officer. I am responsible for all recreation activities for students. Also, organizing events for student services, such as Welcome back event for new and current students at the beginning of each academic year, award ceremony and International day. Also, I am organizing trips for students and managing the different clubs which students organize at UCQ. As for the recruitment part, I visit the majority of Independent schools during our admission period to encourage them to apply to UCQ and study nursing.
