Arlene Masaba

Clinical Simulation Center, University of Calgary in Qatar

As the coordinator of our Clinical Simulation Centre, Arlene has played a key role in training the next generation of nurses by using the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario’s (RNAO) best practice guidelines (BPG). Arlene has worked hard to provide her students with confidence in their abilities. She believes the guidelines set by the RNAO has allowed students to support not only their patients but also their patients’ families. Arlene is known for her boundless passion towards her career. Her commitment to building the nursing leaders of tomorrow has been visible in her role and has landed her the RNAO Leadership Award 2020. Arlene believes that the BPSO and BPG programs really prove the power of nursing as a global movement and that nursing is a global language spoken by leaders and frontline heroes alike. As Arlene says:“Nursing is nursing everywhere.”
