Transcripts
Your transcript is a record of your academic history at the University, it includes:
- Student Name
- Student ID Number
- Day and month of birth
- Date printed
- Program and Faculty
- All courses you are currently registered in, attempted, or completed with grades received
- Grade point average (GPA) for each term
- Credits per course
- Degrees awarded
- Transfer credits received
- Honours and awards received
- Academic standing (eg. probation, suspension, and non-academic misconduct)
Your transcript is a record of your academic activity and cannot be altered in any way.
There are 2 types of transcripts:
Unofficial (Courses and Credits): You can print your Unofficial Transcript from your Student Centre, see “Request Unofficial Transcript” guide for instructions
- Contains all of the information listed above but is not printed on official transcript paper
- Is a complete record of your academic history up to the date printed
- Can be used for various purposes where an official transcript is not necessary
Official Transcript: Printed on Official Transcript paper, you will receive a copy of your official transcript along with your degree parchment when you graduate
- Is a complete record of your academic history up to the date printed
- Should be requested only if an unofficial transcript is not sufficient
Requests for Transcripts issued in secured envelopes, and/or to be sent directly from University of Calgary to an institution, must be requested from University of Calgary Main Campus. Allow 3-5 business days processing time and 1-4 weeks for mailing time (depending on where the transcript is being mailed).
