University Teaching and Learning Certificate
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is offering a non-credit certificate in teaching and learning in post-secondary settings. The program is open to all staff and faculty members at UCQ with an interest in university teaching.

Articulate your beliefs about teaching and learning in a teaching philosophy statement.
Developing your Teaching Dossier
Integrate your understanding of teaching and learning into a teaching dossier.
Learning Theories & Issues in Teaching and Learning
Explore learning theories and issues in teaching and learning
Teaching Second Language Students
Explore the context within which learning takes place for students with English as an additional language
Teaching in Today’s Classroom and Clinical Setting
Apply knowledge of the process of teaching and learning in the development of a lesson and a course
Understanding Curriculum
Visualize a program as a whole by identifying and aligning the components through curriculum mapping
Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
Inquire into a question on teaching and learning through a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning project
Educational Leadership
Inquire into a question on change in teaching and learning through an educational leadership project
Explore the role of the educator in higher education
Reflect on and articulate beliefs about teaching and learning
Develop a teaching portfolio as evidence of excellence in teaching
Apply learning theories in decisions on teaching and learning
Identify and use appropriate teaching and learning, and assessment strategies
Evaluate the alignment within a given curriculum
Propose a design for a SoTL or explore educational leadership principles
