Invited Deputy Chair, 1st Asia-Middle East-Africa Conference on Academic and Research Integrity (ACARI 2023)
Faisa Farah is a registered nurse with over 15 years of experience in nursing and educational experience. She currently serves as the Student and Faculty Support Coordinator at the University of Calgary in Qatar. Her focus areas include strengthening nursing education in Qatar through curriculum development and evaluation, research in academic and clinical integrity and improving student assessments tools. She is currently leading research on nursing students’ perceptions of academic and clinical integrity.

Zeenath Reza Khan, PhD
Assistant Professor & Program Director, University of Wollongong in Dubai
Co-Chair, 2023 Asia-Middle East-Africa Conference on Academic and Research Integrity
Dr. Khan has a PhD in Informatics and is currently Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences, at the University of Wollongong in Dubai. She is also Program Director of the Freshmen Pathway Program at the university, where she has been for over two decades. Additionally, Dr. Khan is the Founding President and Board Member of the European Network for Academic Integrity’s WG Centre for Academic Integrity in the UAE.
Dr. Muaawia Ahmed Hamza, PhD
Director, Biomedical Research Administration, Research Center and Assistant Professor of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, King Fahad Medical City
Deputy Chair, 2023 Asia-Middle East-Africa Conference on Academic and Research Integrity
Dr Muaawia has a PhD in biochemistry. He has been involved in studies assessing knowledge acquisition and retention among students and their knowledge of academic integrity issues. He is currently working on various aspects of G6PD deficiency including wet lab research and insilico studies. He also has an interest in diabetes biomarkers.
