Dr. Amy Toosi, RN

Senior Nursing Instructor

Dr. Amy Toosi joined the University of Calgary in Qatar in 2018. She has worked in a variety of academic and clinical settings. Her academic experiences include both teaching and administrative roles such as associate dean, program director, coordinator, and assistant professor. She also worked in a variety of healthcare settings (acute, long-term, and community-based care) in different capacities (Midwife, RN, LPN, and Health Care Aide) in three countries (Canada, U.S.A., and Iran). Dr. Toosi’s research focuses on improvements in maternal and child health outcomes for international migrants. She is a recipient of multiple scholarships and research grants and has several publications in peer-reviewed journals as the primary author or as a co-author.
