Master of Nursing programs prepare nurses for advanced practice in focused areas that may include direct clinical practice, education, or health policy/leadership.

Program Highlights

Master of Nursing, Course-Based Program (Leadership):

The University of Calgary in Qatar offers a course-based Master of Nursing program, focus in leadership. The course-based program is a two-year full time program requiring full time work release. Local nurses who graduate from the program will be qualified to take on leadership and management roles within the workplace.

Master of Nursing, Course Based Program (Clinical Stream):

The University of Calgary in Qatar will be offering a Master in Nursing (MN) program clinical stream. The focus will be on the study of pathophysiologic phenomena with the integration of basic principles of pharmacology into clinical content and into the clinical context as it relates to disease states currently prevalent in Qatar. Students will further have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills related to decision-making and case management of adult patients as they go through various disease states.

Master of Nursing, Thesis-Based Program:

The University of Calgary in Qatar (UCQ) offers a thesis-based program. Thesis-based students work closely with current UCQ research projects which align with their own research interests.

Students interested in the thesis-based program are encouraged to meet with the UCQ Graduate Program Coordinator.
